Senior LCS Waterfront Engineer

Basic Qualifications : Requires a Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position: ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: As a systems engineer for the Littoral Combat Ship, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for completing AIT installations onboard US Navy ships along with supporting sustainment activities onboard US Navy ships. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: TSCE knowledge, VMware knowledge, Fiber Termination skills, copper connector skills, Navigation knowledge, network knowledge (Cisco switches) and ECS (engineering control system) knowledge. Anticipate travel could be up to 50% at times based on location of the US Navy Ships. Participating on the engineering work team, you’ll develop, implement, install, test, modify and/or operate complex equipment and systems as well as support other team members concerning experiment design, materials, equipment setup/maintenance and related issues.
