Pay rate:$22.00
Job description:
• Set up and adjust the production line, including mixers, rollers, cutters, cooking section, and other supporting equipment.
• Continuously monitor the production line for any sign of malfunction or inefficiencies (product thickness, length and overall quality), and taking corrective action.
• Use line computer systems and control panels to manage and adjust production parameters such as temperature, pressure and speed.
• Manage the flow and proper portioning of the raw materials, such as flour, water and other ingredients, fed into the machinery.
• Follow production specifications, recipes, and batch instructions precisely for different product type.
• Record batch information, including start and end times, ingredient quantities, and deviations from the standard process.
• Provide on-the-job training to the new team members when needed.
• Work closely with other departments, including maintenance, quality control, and other production line operators to support overall production goals
• Perform regular quality checks to ensure products meet company standards and regulatory requirements such as visual defects, texture and packaging.
• Identify and report any production or quality issues to the Production Supervisor.
• Assist in implementing corrective actions to resolve quality control problems.
• Ensure compliance with all USDA food safety standards, California state regulations, and company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Participate in safety training sessions and report any safety concerns to the Safety Team.
• Analyze production processes and propose improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Production Supervisor and team to implement process improvement
• Track and report production metrics and performance data.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production activities, including equipment logs, production quantities, and quality control data.
• Prepare and submit production reports to the Production Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Work closely with fellow production line operators, maintenance staff, and quality control personnel to ensure seamless operations.
• Train and guide new production line operators as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• one or more years of experience in Food Processing preferred with knowledge of equipment for safely processing food products for consumption
• Ability to safely lift packaged products and raw materials with and without assistance.
• Hands and fingers with dexterity to work with product, equipment parts and controls and ability to listen for malfunctions, alarms, and other production-related sounds.
• Must be able to work with varying degrees of noise indoors and in environmentally variable conditions, including exposure to coffee particulates.
• Good shoes with good grip or slip resistant preferred.
