Senior Manager – BFS Finance, P&CB Performance Management

What is the opportunity?

The Senior Manager – BFS Finance, P&CB Performance Management will be a lead role in the preparation of Corporate Client Group, Commercial Financial Services, Small Business, RBCx and Cash Management financials relating to annual plans, quarterly forecasts, monthly financials and strategic planning documents as well as providing ongoing decision support and analysis.
This role will provide financial advice and counsel for client segments (CFS and Small Business) strategy and CCG/TCM and RBCx sales teams as well as Cash Management/FX product teams and work closely with the Canadian Banking strategy teams in developing business models supporting industry sector and other strategic initiatives as well as presentations to BFS SMT as needed.

What you will do?

• Ensures timely reporting and communicates effectively with Business leadership teams
• Lead proactive financial management of products including forecasting, planning and ongoing decision support and financial analysis
• Responsible for the production of monthly Scorecard and monthly/quarterly financial reporting 
• Support Corporate Client Group, Commercial Financial Services, Small Business and RBCx strategic initiatives
• Vertical industry segment analysis for total Business Financial Services and by client segment for management discussion and business review with Head of Personal and Commercial Banking
• Advisor for the Cash Management (incl. PayEdge) and FX teams, providing monthly reporting, forecasting and planning, including the support to the ongoing growth strategies
• Product spread analysis at the client segment level providing the spread impact split by interest rate and liquidity value impact versus client pricing
• Facilitate product Forecast, Annual Plan and, Five Year Strategic Plan incorporates all initiatives that are in flight
• Facilitate or develop financial modeling for strategic initiatives; Provides valuable inputs and review the models and assumptions for validity

What you need to succeed?

Must Have

• 5+ years of relevant finance and industry experience with preferably strong knowledge of RBC planning, reporting and forecasting processes
• CPA/CFA//MBA Strong understanding of the drivers of performance and outcome measures of Business products, RBC, and the financial industry
• Cross enterprise mindset
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to influence.
• Focused on continuous improvement
• Creative, innovative, proactive and strategic business sense
• Strong understanding of the drivers of performance and outcome measures of Business products, and the financial industry
• Cross enterprise mindset
• Superior financial modeling skills (ie. strong Excel modeling skills)
• Strong technical skills preferred (ie. Tableau database management)
