Position Summary...
The Senior Manager, Business Development and Strategic Partnerships will join Walmart Connect's (WMC) in-house Strategy team to help identify, evaluate, and accelerate new revenue opportunities through partnerships and support long term strategy definition projects. The WMC Strategy team is envisioning the future of WMC and its important role within Walmart.

In this role, you will help formulate the future of retail advertising by evaluating new strategies and businesses to grow WMC, especially those enabled by partnerships like CTV. You have 4-6+ years of business development, partnership, investment banking, or consulting within the technology, retail, media or advertising industry and have a deep capacity for juggling multiple high-profile projects. We will need your industry curiosity and understanding, strategic mindset, and analytical skills to support the definition and evaluation of opportunities to grow WMC. This role will cover the entire lifecycle of business development from defining / sizing the opportunity, identify portfolio of potential partners, structuring and executing partnerships, to running proof of concepts. Critical thinking, resourcefulness and strong attention to detail are required skill sets. Experience creating leadership materials and driving leadership alignment a must.

What you'll do...

  • Define strategy for new capabilities that accelerate new revenue for WMC including portfolio of key strategic partnerships
  • Develop data-driven business case, including size of prize, to support and champion recommended capabilities and partnerships
  • Structure and execute partnerships from identification, negotiation, contract, test, to launch
  • Partner closely with product to explore, design, and build any needed integration or customization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, including with sales, product, and marketing to test with proof of concepts, hand off to the media partnership post launch and drive adoption

Walmart fosters an in-person culture. The associate hired for this rol e would need to allocate most of their work week to our Hoboken, NJ or San Bruno, CA office.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 3 years' experience in business development, market development, product development, or relevant area OR 5 years' experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area.
  • 4-6+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, investment banking, and/or consulting in technology, retail, media or advertising, with an "always on" attitude towards gaining more knowledge and leadership in these areas
  • Resourcefulness in research, data collection and analysis to support strategies
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Strong presentation, communication and influencing skills and comfort in interacting with executive level business and partners, along with other cross-functional partners
  • Comfort with ambiguity and experience with scoping new ideas or innovation
  • Intellectually curious, high energy, and strong work ethic and ability to juggle multiple high-visibility projects at one time

Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279:The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00

San Bruno, California US-08848:The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
