Job Title - Senior Manager - Data Science

What can you expect:

• Help RIQ team to develop and build their data analytics offering

• Lead and build a team of data analytics professionals and help accelerate the engagement with the RIQ team in US from ground-up

• Collate information from various sources to further harvest for the purpose of analytics

• Centralize and accelerate R&D prototyping

• Liaise closely with the RIQ stakeholders in US to enhance and develop state of the art Claims Analytics Dashboards in R-shiny

• Tailor and tweak the existing models to make them more efficient and bespoke to the client’s needs

• Build data pipelines and automate end to end process of a model to create speed and efficiency

We will count on you to:

• Help build the RIQ’s data analytics proposition by consistently exploring the current and future solutions.

• Apply state-of-the-art advanced analytics, quantitative tools, and modelling techniques to interpret, make inferences, and offer recommendations based on insights from the data

• Present the data analytics outputs in R-shiny and Power BI

• Deploy python to wrangle, standardize and integrate claims data across clients and transform them to be harvested for Analytics.

• Think aloud on the solutions and the insights. We are looking for someone who has an analytical mind-set and can contribute to insight generation rather than just take instructions.

• Review all the metrics in the Dashboard to make sure that the values are within the defined range and call out any anomaly or unusual trends.

• Take end to end ownership of projects – planning, execution, quality and error free delivery.

• Build a successful team of Data Analytics professional by understanding the business requirements, current and proposed offerings.

• Manage client relationships from a claims perspective & ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

What you need to have: 

• We’re looking for someone with more than 8 years of experience in data analytics, Power BI dashboards with ETL in python manipulating data sets and building statistical models.

• Bachelor’s / Master’s in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another Engineering and quantitative field

• Experience of leading key data analytics initiatives to make standout impact on business.

• Experience of building a team of data analytics enthusiasts

• Expert level proficiency – R, Excel, SQL

• Intermediate Level Proficiency - Power BI and VBA Macros

• Beginner to Intermediate level proficiency – Python

• Strong ability to generate insights and weave a story using multiple data points

• Experience working with and creating data architectures.

• Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (regression, simulation, scenario analysis, clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.

• Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: Stochastic Modelling, GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, text mining, social network analysis, etc

• Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills

• Project management and multi-tasking skills

• Exposure in diverse global stakeholder management – ability to interact and influence stakeholders at all levels

• Excellent English communication skills – speaking, writing, listening

• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong Excel proficiency.
