Team Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior IT Operations Manager to oversee and manage the IT operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, network management, and systems administration. This role requires excellent leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of IT service management best practices. The Senior IT Operations Manager will ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems and services, supporting the overall business goals and objectives.
What you will do:
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, and network & systems engineers. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Develop and implement IT operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with senior management to align IT operations with business objectives.
- IT Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Manage data centers and cloud environments to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Network and Security:
- Implement and manage network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Partner with the InfoSec team to develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect the organization’s data and IT assets.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.
- Systems Administration:
- Oversee the administration of operating systems, databases, and applications.
- Ensure regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity processes.
- Monitor and optimize system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- IT Service Management:
- Implement and manage IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, such as ITIL, to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Monitor IT service levels and performance metrics, and implement improvements as needed.
- Manage incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Budget and Vendor Management:
- Develop and manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and third-party partners.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements to support IT operations.
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and technology implementations.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, network management, and systems administration.
- Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of IT professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CCNA) are a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
The benefits listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Impinj and the country where you work.
The typical base pay range for this role across the US is $135,000 - $208,000 Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid-point of the pay range is reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
