Maven is looking for a Senior Manager, People Partner to join our growing People Team! As Maven's Operations organization continues to grow, they are in need of additional partnership from the People team with specific focus on support for our non-exempt employees. In this role, you will act as the People Partner supporting our Care Delivery team, composed of Care Advocates and Care Support Representatives. Additionally, you will be a valued member of the People Partner team contributing to our annual programs including Talent Review, Engagement Surveys, Performance Management, and Maven University.

For candidates in NYC, CO, or CA, the base salary range for this role is $145,000 - $185,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive stock options and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.

Maven is looking for a Senior Manager, People Partner to join our growing People Team! As Maven's Operations organization continues to grow, they are in need of additional partnership from the People team with specific focus on support for our non-exempt employees. In this role, you will act as the People Partner supporting our Care Delivery team, composed of Care Advocates and Care Support Representatives. Additionally, you will be a valued member of the People Partner team contributing to our annual programs including Talent Review, Engagement Surveys, Performance Management, and Maven University.
As a People Partner at Maven, you will:
- Support our non-exempt employees by delivering people programs (performance management, compensation review, manager training, employee workshops, engagement surveys) to your teams. You will be the right hand to your team's leaders and an objective, empathetic resource for the Mavens you support.
- Build credibility through your actions and interactions with Mavens to become a trusted partner and great example to all.
- Serve as an advisor and provide guidance to managers and employees on various people focused matters, including employee relations and conflict resolution. Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and company policies. Conduct investigations and take appropriate actions as necessary.
- In partnership with the people team, train managers on performance management best practices and provide coaching to drive continuous improvement and employee development.
- Utilize people metrics to drive key insights and decisions around growth and retention.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Recruiting, People Operations, People Experience) to ensure clear lines of ownership, efficient processes, and a great experience for Mavens and candidates.
- Identify opportunities to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. Collaborate with the people and care delivery leadership team to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, training and development programs, and change management strategies.
- Support the People Partner team with project management and execution of annual people programs including Talent Review, Engagement Survey and our in-house learning & development program, Maven University.
We're looking for you to bring:
- 4-6 years of experience in HR Business Partner, People Generalist, or equivalent business operations roles.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Experience supporting a non-exempt workforce, with an understanding of all of the compliance and policy nuances that entails and clarity on how to best support this employee group.
- Comfortable navigating through ambiguity and developing a strong point of view on the best path forward.
- An entrepreneurial drive, ability to create order from chaos, and willingness to roll up sleeves to directly solve challenging problems
- Previous experience scaling teams in a high growth or startup environment
- High emotional intelligence and an ability to quickly build credibility, establish rapport and engage manager and director level partnerships.
- Excellent communication skills in all forms that exhibit your objectivity, empathy, patience, and diplomacy.
