Senior Manager, Retail Communications and Engagement

Tecovas is looking for a Senior Manager of Retail Communications and Engagement to create pinnacle customer experiences, elevate employee engagement, and bring Tecovas values to life in stores. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Retail, you will develop a strategic roadmap to ensure that as retail at Tecovas grows, our customers and employees have a cohesive experience in all stores across the fleet. This includes developing programs and content around service, selling, hospitality, and finding innovative ways to develop engaged teams. To do this, you will create and execute annual meetings, develop cohesive customer and employee engagement plans, and work closely with the SVP of retail to develop a Retail Strategy that delivers pinnacle experiences and operational excellence. 

This position is based out of Austin, TX but will have the ability to work from home and in-office.

What you’ll do:

• Work with cross functional teams to create retail strategy documents and own the communication and buy in around them.
• Develop a communication and engagement strategy for the Retail team with a solid plan for execution and clear measures for success. 
• Thoroughly understand store financial performance and create programs and contests to drive KPI’s like sales, conversion, and UPT.
• Partner closely with Training team to ensure knowledge gaps are covered and the strategic framework from both groups are cohesive and support retail strategic plan. 
• Partner closely with the Comms team to ensure communications from all corporate partners to the stores have clear priorities, are realistic, and stores know what is expected of them.
• Plan, organize and lead virtual and in person conferences including conference themes, desired outcomes, and content development.
• Stay in touch with others in the Comms and Engagement sector of the retail industry to ensure we remain competitive in how we interact with our customers and employees. 
• Develop an organization that is positioned for growth and work with cross functional teams to create an org structure that makes sense for Tecovas retail. 

Experience we’re looking for:

• Education with a relevant degree such as communications, sociology, human resources, business, or a similar. 
• 8+ years professional experience in Retail/Corporate communications
• Proven ability to develop and communicate plans across an organization to both corporate and field groups. 
• Experience creating cross departmental process work flows. 
• Proven success in leading communications strategy for major events. 
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Adobe, and programs for creating and editing video.
• Knowledge of retail is preferred.
