Job Description
Modern Animal is looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Associate to be the voice of Modern Animal to prospective and current members on our CRM and owned platforms. This role will play a significant role in driving customer acquisition and engagement as Modern Animal scales its network of clinics and member base.Â
The ideal candidate is a strategic, thorough and process-oriented thinker with strong writing skills and an analytical mindset. They have a proven track record for conceptualizing and launching effective marketing campaigns to educate and retain customers and seek to deeply understand customer behaviors and needs. Most importantly, they’re eager to roll up their sleeves and get things done in an energetic, fast-paced environment. This role reports directly to the Sr. Growth Marketing Manager and is highly cross-functional; partner teams include Design, Product, Engineering, Data and Experience.Â
This role will work out of our headquarters in Culver City, CA, with flexibility for remote work a couple days per week.Â
In this role, you will:
- Build an effective customer lifecycle journey across such channels as email, in-app notifications and SMS to deliver the right message via the right channel at the right time.Â
- Build a best-in-class member referral program and ensure strong engagement from current members
- Own and independently execute our ongoing email campaign calendar, determining needs based on business goals and input from cross-functional teams
- Manage our waitlist release cadence and program, independently handling releases via SMS and email
- Manage our digital business presence across platforms (website, Yelp, Google, Nextdoor), ensuring brand consistency and keeping pace with our New Clinic Opening schedule
- Partner with Product and Experience on a shared, consistent definition of customer segments to drive targeting and personalization of CRM channels
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of CRM, waitlist and referral initiatives against business goals and make data-driven decisions to optimize results
Why you’d be a great fit:Â
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on customer relationship management
- Experience leading and directly implementing email and CRM initiatives for a consumer brand
- Proven success launching campaigns in collaboration with technical teams (Data, Eng, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with customer data and behavior
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Ability to self-govern and prioritize workload based on overall business/team context
- SQL skills are a strong plus.Â

The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.
