Who you are:

As a Senior Midrange Engineer at Frost, you will be responsible for planning, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining UNIX OS environments and applications across the organization. You will analyze and resolve complex application issues. You will be responsible for ensuring a scalable, secure, and redundant UNIX infrastructure that complies with Frost specifications and security standards. What you'll do:

• Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve the most complex escalated AIX-related tickets and issue
• Perform root cause analysis, establish return to service, and document resolution strategies
• Collaborate with other IT teams, management, and lines of business to provide advanced troubleshooting assistance for large-scale outages and implement AIX infrastructure and AIX security needs for cross-functional projects across the organization
• Develop automation tools to enhance the provisioning, management, and administration of AIX infrastructure and AIX security in a repeatable, standardized, and efficient manner
• Identify projects to enhance Linux and AIX systems and applications across the organization
• Make recommendations to management and implement Linux and AIX enhancement projects
• Develop and maintain documentation and procedures for AIX engineering and administration
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current and emerging AIX principles and industry standards
• Mentor, guide, and assist other Midrange team members
• Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes

What you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, in a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in AIX administration and/or engineering
• Demonstrated experience in engineering at a high level across multiple systems
• Advanced knowledge of PowerVM
• Experience with a scripting and programming language, e.g. Korn shell, Bash shell, Python
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft computer applications

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Expertise in IBM MQ
• Expertise in and experience with IBM PowerHA, live partition mobility, VIO and NIM Server
• Expertise in and experience with IBM Power hardware
• Expertise in and experience with the configuration of anti-virus products on UNIX/Linux systems
• Expertise in and experience with tools allowing Active Directory integration for UNIX account maintenance
  Experience with automation tools such PowerVC, Terraform, or Ansible
• Familiarity with Agile methodology
