Senior Motion Graphics Artist - Creative Department, Art & Design Services

Motion Graphics Artists concept and give life to high-quality motion projects for Riot Games products. Your technical skills and keen aesthetic eye for motion and compositing will transform static images into dynamic works of art.  You will make creative decisions to define how elements within projects will interact, build, transition, and function in collaboration with artists, designers, and engineers.

As a Senior Motion Graphics Artist on the Art and Design Services team, you will design and execute all of our customer’s motion requests, like logo animations, page transitions, lower thirds, short explainer videos, and more. You will collaborate with visual designers in creating engaging and informative videos for internal and external use. The Motion Graphics Artist II will work closely with the Visual Design Art Manager and the Art and Design Services team to design, develop, and produce high-quality motion graphics and animations using After Effects and Premiere. 

• Design and create motion graphics, animations, and visual effects using After Effects and Premiere.
• Collaborate with designers, producers, and stakeholders to develop video concepts and storyboards.
• Edit and assemble video footage, adding music, sound effects, and voiceovers.
• Utilize your expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to create high-quality assets for animation and graphic design purposes.
• Work with Google Slides to integrate animations and graphics into presentations, helping to effectively communicate ideas and concepts to stakeholders.
• Manage project timelines and clearly communicate progress to team members.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and techniques to continuously improve the quality of motion graphics and animations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
• Work with other teams to ensure all videos are in line with the Riot Games brand guidelines.
  

• 5+ years of professional experience as a motion graphics artist
• Expert knowledge of After Effects and Premiere
• Strong understanding of design principles, including composition, color theory, typography, and layout
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, with a solid understanding of their respective tools and features
• Ability to self-manage multiple projects at once and successfully navigate challenging deadlines
• Strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in creating 2D informative animations and graphics

• Knowledge of Riot Games IPs and style
• Previous experience in the video game industry or related field
• Experience in working with Unreal Engine 5
• Familiarity with Google Slides and the ability to incorporate animations and graphics seamlessly into presentations
