Senior Network Operations Engineer
This is an in-office role in our Durham location.
Job Introduction:
At Parexel, we are a leading Clinical Research Organization company specializing in delivering life-changing medicines to patients. We are seeking a Senior Network Operations Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Network Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering high quality, available, redundant services according to Service Level Agreements. Ensuring that network services and systems components align to and meet the expectations, standards, and objectives of our customers and Parexel. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our projects and help us drive innovation.
Who we are looking for:
Reliable individuals with proven experience working as a Network Operations Engineer or in a similar role. Who are passionate and knowledgeable of the technical management, operation and maintenance of network infrastructure. With hands-on expertise and advanced skills in Cisco network and security configuration, Azure Cloud configuration, SD-WAN configuration, and troubleshooting capabilities across all technologies. That possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills while demonstrating impeccable communication skills.
What you’ll do:
- Maintain a reliable network infrastructure for all users
- Ensure maximum connectivity to essential systems
- Partner with IT Management and technical staff to evaluate and test network products
- Define, review, and maintain detailed hardware/software technical standards, especially related to installation, configuration, management, and maintenance of LAN/WAN systems
- Monitor key system parameters to ensure optimum performance is being maintained
Additional details:
5+ years hands-on experience with Cisco LAN/WAN, Security, SDWAN, Azure Cloud, and Meraki WiFi. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred. CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, and Azure Cloud certifications are highly desirable.
