Senior Notch Artist

Who are we hiring?

We are seeking an experienced Sr Disguise, Notch Artist to join the Exo Sphere Creative Design Services (CDS) Production team in the development of technology and content for the Exo Sphere. This artist is key in helping guide the development of a real-time content creation pipeline using tools like Notch, Touch Designer, and Disguise to deliver final content for Exo Sphere. The ideal candidate is versed in years of real-time content creation and live performance show design and control.

An integral part of our Production and Creative team, responsible for the execution of visual content across a gamut of immersive experiences and Ads on Exo Sphere. The ideal candidate is progressive, forward thinking, values design, storytelling, animation, innovation, and enjoys pushing the creative boundaries to visualize the unseen. They work with the Creative Directors, VFX Supervisors, and project leadership to contribute to the execution of large-scale content production, delivering world-class ideas and first-of-its-kind experiences and innovations. This artist will be part of a larger Production team creating final content for the Exo Sphere venue. 

What will you do?  

• Apply design thinking to solving Exo Sphere-specific content challenges.
• Lead and guide other artists, producing high-level content using Notch, Touch Designer, and Disguise.
• Develop and optimize real-time content creation pipelines.
• Lead event based experiences like F1, New Years Eve, and Superbowl
• Work through the lifecycle of the content, advising on where efficiencies can be gained via real-time tools and associated workflows.
• Stay up-to-date with trends in art, design, and technology, including AR, XR, and VR integrations.
• Work with supervisors to address notes from clients or creative teams to create content.
• Assist supervisors with creating schedules and timelines for projects.
• Mentor junior artists and other motion graphics artists in current and advancing real-time toolsets.
• Create templates and plugins in Notch, Touch Designer, and Disguise for workflow efficiencies.
• Document tools and techniques for departmental reference.
• Collaborate with the team to solve complex challenges and contribute to best practices and workflows from development to compositing.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

What do you need to succeed?

• 8+ years of experience in the VFX, gaming, animation, or related industry, with experience in a supervisory role a bonus.
• Expert level experience in Notch, Touch Designer, and Disguise.
• Experience in C4D, Nuke, Unreal.
• Strong understanding of real-time content creation and production delivery.
• Experienced in real-time innovation and integration into 3rd party XR tools.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality real-time content for film, television, commercials, VR, or theme park projects.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and stakeholders.
• Passion for innovation and a commitment to staying at the forefront of industry trends and technologies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing creative and technical demands.
• Supervision:
  Senior Realtime Artists report to the VFX Supervisor, working closely with Creative Directors, Producers, and other department leads. The role requires a self-directed, proactive approach, with a strong focus on creative and technical excellence.
