Senior Packaging Designer

Hydrapeak develops and designs premium vacuum insulated Stainless Steel Drinkware. With millions of bottles in consumer’s hands, our organization is looking for talent to grow our product design with a creative superstar. Hydrapeak is looking for an experienced full-time Packaging Graphic Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate will have experience in packaging design, gorgeous typography, exquisite color sense and impeccable illustration skills. As the designer, you are responsible for new product line packaging visuals as well as extending existing creative across core products and seasonal products. RESPONSIBILITES: • Create innovative and impactful retail packaging solutions that inspire consumer purchase decisions through brand elements. • Effectively communicate product statements and features through package. • Create package die lines, digital print mockups and 3D rendering • Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics. • Design of packaging in multiple formats - labels, sleeves, Hangtags, boxes etc. including die line manipulation • Prepare production files for manufacturing • Communicate overseas with production team • Manage and drive our design calendar based on customers key milestones • Maintain knowledge of the competitive landscape, products/brands, industry trends, and retail environment • Share insight on Trends, concept design, market insight. REQUIREMENTS • 5+ years’ experience with a background in packaging design with a strong understanding of brand/graphic design • Expert knowledge of Packaging materials • Ability to create package die lines, digital and print mockups and 3D renderings. • Experience in designing Environmental / Lifestyle graphics • Mastery of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and other Adobe CS programs. • Expertise in photo retouching, photo manipulation, and color correcting • Professional understanding of conventional and digital printing processes as well as the concept of plate separation • Expert understanding of all aspects of packaging components, including packaging structure, die line creation, preparing files for printer/vendor. • Fluent in 4-color process, Pantone matching systems, studio color management, color profiles, proofing. • Attention to visual details. • Detail Oriented, ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, work under pressure, and very organized. • Strong portfolio of design work showcasing ability to conceptualize, design and execute current packaging. • Flexible - comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment • Agency experience a plus **Must provide a portfolio in order to be evaluated Job Type: Full-time Pay: $92,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Paid time off Work Location: In person
