JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Senior Paid Media Manager to join the Alpine Software Group team and lead paid media efforts across our private equity portfolio that includes dozens of high-growth SMBs across different verticals. You will be starting a 1-person internal digital advertising agency from scratch with an installed client base of our operating companies. You will be the resident-expert across the portfolio of 1,400 employees for all topics related to Google paid search and digital advertising.
In this role, you will be working closely with the CEOs, marketing leaders and their teams to lead their paid media initiatives, particularly Google paid search. You will oversee their paid media strategy, the implementation of paid media campaigns, improve conversion rate optimization, manage budgets, provide analytics and reporting. How you do it - with a PeopleFirst approach, clear communication, mutual accountability, and in line with ASG’s sustainable growth strategy - is critically important.
The role’s core purpose is to scale the paid search and digital advertising programs of our operating companies, resulting in increased traffic, pipeline and revenue.
Our ideal candidate has a proven track record of success with three distinct client types in the B2B SaaS SMB segment:
- Enter into an engagement with less than $5k in monthly spend, and quickly begin scaling the program via hands-on management
- Strategic oversight of larger paid media budgets at our operating companies, ranging from $15-200k in monthly spend.
- Diversifying paid program mix: Google paid search may run up against diminishing returns, and you excel at scaling G2, Capterra, and Software Advice, as well as Bing and Display

- Work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including CEOs, marketing leaders, content partners, agencies and preferred vendors.
- Your efforts have direct results, including increased traffic, pipeline and paid search-sourced revenue
- Manage, optimize, and report paid digital programs, including Google paid search, display, LinkedIn, retargeting, and software review sites.
- Establish channel and campaign-specific goals for each company. Optimize campaign performance and budget allocation to deliver strong ROAS and CAC
- Aggressively scale channels
- Work closely with our in-house SEO expert to build a joint SEO/SEM strategy
- Utilize analytics tools and platforms to gather, analyze, and interpret data to measure campaign performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead landing page performance and conversion rate optimization efforts
- Stay up to date with current paid media trends

- 6+ years working with paid search channels including Google Ads and Microsoft Ads
- 4+ year experience working in an agency
- 2+ year experience working in-house environment for a B2B software company
- Deep experience working directly within paid search advertising accounts, as the primary owner of the paid search platform and holder of associated revenue, growth and budget goals
- Experience optimizing to multiple conversion points within the B2B buying cycle
- Experience working with enterprise paid search optimization platforms such as Search Ads 360
- Experience with other paid media channels such as Bing, LinkedIn, retargeting and software review sites. Focus on conversion is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze campaign effectiveness and ROI
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Google Ads Certification
- Self-motivated and an action-oriented
Base Salary Range: The target base salary range for this position is ($85,000-$100,000), and is part of a competitive total rewards package including an annual bonus, employer-paid benefits, L&D stipend and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
