Job Description

BarkleyOKRP's Accounting & Finance team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in payroll processing and a strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll by interfacing with ADP to insure our payrolls are run accurately and on time.

· Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local payroll tax regulations.

· Process payroll adjustments, including bonuses, commissions, and deductions.

· Reconcile payroll data and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

· Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner.

· Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate employee data management.

· Generate payroll reports and assist with financial audits as needed.

· Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll law and regulations.

· Reconciles balance sheet payroll liabilities monthly.

· Ensure all employees enter time.

· Maintain and update vendor database by entering new vendor requests and managing vendor changes and ensuring vendors are set up with the correct tax classification.


QUALIFICATIONS

· At least 5 years of accounting/payroll work experience required.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

· Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent Written and verbal communication skills.

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university preferred but not required
