This opportunity is accountable for supporting Developer Engineering Platforms (Azure DevOps, Artifactory, SonarQube, Tosca, etc.). Core function is to enable our customers by partnering with the other technology teams (Security, Full Stack devs, Infrastructure) to design solutions that automate, harmonize and create the best one stop shop experience.
Primary Responsibilities • Responsible for planning, designing, deploying, maintenance and troubleshooting related to TOSCA
• Build strong relationships with Full Stack Teams, translating platform enhancement needs into wide ranging, long-term solutions whilst fostering and enabling associated culture change• Deploy and Administer DevOps platform(s) that orchestrate infrastructure deployments, systems and application configuration management and delivery of software as well as automating manual and repetitive tasks at the platform level• Focus on optimizing, building and securing DevOps platform applications and the underlying infrastructure as well as eliminating work through automation• Design, develop, enhance and maintain tools, systems and software solutions. Applies service-oriented architecture principles to meet the organization's integrity and availability requirements• Conducts technology evaluations and re-engineering activities to support strategy definition and continuous improvement activities• Manage key internal and cross functional and stakeholder relationships to ensure expectations and opportunities to collaborate are transparently communicated• Identify, design and implement automated solutions to enable IT development needs• Collaborate and create documentation and training sessions to support customers and operational support personnel• Transforms business requirements into technical specifications. Working creatively to deliver solutions best suited to navigate uncertainty and disruption• Designs and develops enhancements, system/solution measures to ensure solutions are fully integrated. Validates current and future-state architectural models to assess impact across all technology systems• Establishes process, procedures, solutions and artifacts based on Internal controls criteria required to demonstrate adherence to compliance• Defines service catalog with appropriate DevOps platform patterns that require day-1 (provisioning) and Day-2 (Management) dependencies from Infrastructure and security teams with appropriate SLA's defined• Core responsibilities are both the technical and strategic aspects of infrastructure as code, automation, governance, storage, backups, change management, cost optimization, software delivery, security, resource orchestration, configuration management, monitoring, business continuity, disaster recovery and emergency response• Enhance delivery and orchestration of cloud based platform services and infrastructure through code• Implement, operate and optimize CI/CD pipelines for effective delivery of DevOps platform resources and software• Develop and implement effective reference architecture solutions for the delivery of platform services• Analysis and resolution of performance and availability issues affecting DevOps platform customers and stakeholders• Systems engineering and/or automation activities to solve complex problems associated with running large scale, multi-tenant, production environments• Lead the way to an automated, reliable, secure, scalable and cost-effective cloud• Implementation of proactive monitoring, alerting, trend analysis and self-healing systems• Participate in incident resolution processes driving restoration and repair of service-impacting issues• Define non-functional requirements as part of the product and software lifecycle to influence the new designs, standards, and methods for scalable, highly available distributed systems• Solve problems relating to DevOps platform services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence; with the goal of automating response to all non-exceptional service conditions• Support platform services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing automation tools and frameworks, capacity planning as well as operational and security reviews prior to launch• Identify and drive opportunities to improve operational workflows
Required Education • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Required Experience • 4 years relevant experience
Preferred Competencies/Skills • Certified with Tricentis Tosca Test Architect Level 1certification and have been working on Tosca Automation on APIs, Web Applications, Mobile and Mainframe/ HUB.
• Strong understanding of CI / CD Integration, including integrating TOSCA automation in DevOps pipeline
• Experience in design and development of Test automation framework and test scripts
• Experience in assessment of test automation tools and technologies.
• Experience in software quality assurance and testing - particularly test automation is a plus• Extensive knowledge and understanding of multiple IT subject areas (e.g. infrastructure, development, testing, configuration, deployment, monitoring etc.)• Extensive knowledge and understanding of infrastructure technologies and application development methodologies• Extensive System Administration (configuration, installations, patch management, server maintenance, etc.) and Network Management (firewalls, proxies, IP management, routing, DNS)• Solid knowledge and understanding of software engineering architectures, system/software designs, and system deployments• Working knowledge and of Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Computer Engineering• Prior successful experience as a Systems, DevOps or Build & Deploy Engineer• Proficient in Powershell, Groovy, Python, Bash or similar scripting languages• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub or similar CI/CD tools with pipeline as code concept)• Experience analyzing DevOps platform logs• Knowledge and understanding of network concepts and technology such as TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing• Understanding of Azure Active Directory integration• Desire to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Preferred Experience • 4+ years of experience in Test automation tools like Tosca
• 3+ years experience with Azure, VMWare or other cloud computing platforms• 4+ years of CI/CD experience using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub or similar CI/CD tools with pipeline as code concept• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps/Build and Deploy Engineer role of high-availability, large scale web-based applications• 2+ years of experience in Windows and Linux/Unix administration• 2+ years of experience in Powershell, Groovy, Python, Bash or similar scripting languages• 1+ years of experience in DevOps tools like SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory or similar, Security and Test automation tools
Preferred Knowledge • Container orchestration (Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, AKS, Docker Enterprise)• Serverless architecture design, implementation and deployment• Working in an Agile environment• Cloud and DevOps best practices• Orchestration tools such as Terraform• Instrumenting and monitoring production systems utilizing monitoring tools, such as Dynatrace• Providing customer-driven solutions, support or service• Establishing, using and supporting integration and communication protocols between applications, databases, and technology platforms• End to end development lifecycle in building APIs and building automated CI/CD pipelines
