Senior Pricing Analyst, #526
Clearance: Ability to obtain a Government clearance
Dev Technology is seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and experienced Pricing Analyst to join the pricing team. As a Pricing Analyst, you will play an integral role in leading activities associated with strategic and competitive pricing and the development of cost/price proposals. The successful individual will be responsible for a variety of pricing and estimating activities as an integral member of the Business Development Pricing team. This is a fast-paced position requiring attention to detail, demonstrated problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
The Pricing Analyst prepares detailed pricing proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFP's) from Federal and Civilian government agencies. He/She participates on proposal teams for new business opportunities and assumes the responsibility for preparing competitive and fully compliant cost/price proposals. This process includes the development of pricing related briefings, cost/price models, cost/price narratives, subcontractor RFQ's, subcontractor pricing analysis and negotiation, acquiring cost/pricing approvals, and maintaining pricing related documentation. In addition, he/she assists in the preparation of Price To Win (PTW) target price analyses for those proposal activities assigned to support. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the below:Â
- Coordinate with the proposal team on pricing proposals involving competitive, realistic, and responsive cost/ price proposals from the pre-RFP stage through award.
- Review the cost and business requirements of Requests for Proposals for the purpose of identifying risks, trends, and deviations. Develop RFP questions that generate answers that help comply with the RFP and execute its pricing strategy.
- Ability to lead the Pricing effort associated with the requirements of an RFP.
- Develop appropriate pricing templates utilizing Microsoft Excel that conform to solicitation requirements and pricing standards.
- Review all basis of estimate and pricing data submitted by project staff and external entities for accuracy, completeness, consistency, reasonableness. Facilitate changes, as necessary.
- Lead development and writing of price narratives and business volumes.
- Ensure that the cost proposal is compliant with all solicitation requirements and regulations.
- Assist in the development of PTW models and target rate analyses.
- Prepare subcontractor Request for Quote (RFQ) documentation and templates.
- Prepare and present detailed cost/price briefings for management, including discussion of RFP pricing requirements and evaluation criteria, competitive analysis, pricing strategies, and key financial metrics.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Minimum of 6 years relevant business and pricing experiences with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in developing pricing for federal government contracts including complex bids
- Superior spreadsheet skills
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Experience in cost volume and proposal development, with a demonstrated ability to understand customer requirements, to apply contracting principles, and to produce high quality proposals including a cohesive basis of estimate (BOE) and price narrative
- Experience in all types of contracts, including FFP, T&M, Cost Type (CPFF, CPAF, CPIF), LH, BPA, and IDIQ
- Ability to communicate and interact well with all levels of the organization
- Ability to work effectively with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to lead meetings and facilitate pricing related working sessions
- Enthusiastic, collaborative, and team-oriented attitude
- High standards for quality and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well with remote teams
- Experience with DCAA cost estimating methodologies highly desirable
