Where greenhouse gas emissions are unavoidable we partner with certified carbon offset projects. By helping ecommerce businesses tell their sustainability story we boost trust, prevent greenwashing, and offset unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions.

The Opportunity 💻 

EcoCart is on the hunt for a visionary Senior Product Designer to help us in our quest to create delightful user experiences for sustainable e-commerce. The ideal candidate will have previous startup experience, and a track record of quickly iterating to achieve a deeper product-market fit. Salary Range: $145,000-$165,000 USD/year

A day in the life ☀️

  • Drive Innovative Ideation: Lead the charge in ideation, prototyping, and refining our software products. Set the bar for usability, functionality, and visual appeal. Rapid experimentation and feedback loops are vital for our quest to achieve deeper product-market fit.
  • User-Centric Insights: Regularly conduct user interviews, creating user profiles, and precisely defining problems. Actively apply this knowledge to guide your design efforts and share it with your team.
  • Seamless Navigation: Master the art of zooming in and out effortlessly. Care deeply about every product detail while maintaining a visionary perspective, making it the key to your success.
  • Craft Exceptional User Experiences: Deliver top-tier merchant and shopper experiences – exceptional quality, ease, and speed of deployment are non-negotiable.
  • Holistic Design Approach: Tackle comprehensive design tasks, from problem definition to visual and technical quality assurance.
  • Collaborative Innovation: Daily collaboration with product and engineering teams to bring creative ideas to life.
  • Delivery on Point: Consistently ship solutions that meet timing expectations, embracing rapid iteration for efficiency.
  • Challenge and Innovate: Embrace the challenge to transform norms, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in design and product development.
  • Company-Wide Collaboration: Partner with the head of product, CEO, and the leadership team to quickly integrate feedback from across the company into your product and design work, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Minimum Requirements 🔎

  • Proven Startup Success: Previous experience in a startup environment, contributing to the journey toward achieving deeper Product-Market Fit (PMF).
  • Rapid Feedback Loop Mindset: Demonstrate a fast-feedback loop, MVP, and prototyping mindset. Your ability to swiftly validate or invalidate hypotheses, iterate, and enhance outcomes is paramount.
  • Unmatched Speed: A track record of insanely fast execution, from idea to validation, hypothesis testing, iterations, and the achievement of ideal outcomes.
  • Curious Pioneer: Innately curious and driven to push the boundaries of what's possible in product design and development.
  • Methodical Precision: Approach your work with a methodical mindset, paying strong attention to detail in every aspect of your design.
  • Self-Directed and Action-Oriented: A self-starter with a proactive bias. Take the initiative and drive action independently.
  • Continuous Improvement: Embrace a mindset of constant improvement and remain open to feedback through collaborative efforts.
