Job Summary

The Sr. Product Designer ensures elegance, continuity, and utility in Relocity’s digital experiences. This role works within the Product and Technology organization. They will bring a user-centered approach to all phases of project work, including discovery, research, content creation, prototyping, iteration, and delivery. Candidate must have a passion for design thinking and a strong ability to communicate their design rationale and drive the team towards a well-informed solution. This role demands a thorough understanding of design principles with emphasis on data visualization.

What You'll Do:

• Strong Visual Design Skills: Apply a keen eye for aesthetics, employing principles of color theory, typography, and composition to create visually engaging UI designs.
• Empathy and User-Centricity: Prioritize understanding the needs, pain points, and goals of corporate employees undergoing relocation, ensuring that the platform addresses these effectively.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulously attend to every element of the UI, ensuring consistency and professionalism in spacing, alignment, icons, and buttons.
• Understanding of UX Principles: Apply knowledge of usability, accessibility, and seamless flow to create intuitive user experiences throughout the application.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Identify and solve design challenges, simplifying complex processes and enhancing accessibility to improve user satisfaction.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to ensure design vision alignment and implementation.
• Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Stay updated on design trends, tools, and technologies, continuously learning to keep designs fresh and relevant.
• Technical Proficiency: Understand the technical constraints and possibilities of web and mobile platforms to design realistic and implementable UI solutions.
• User Testing and Feedback Integration: Value user testing and feedback, iteratively refining and improving designs based on user insights to create user-centered solutions.
• Strategic Thinking: Align designs with broader business and marketing goals, strategically contributing to the overall success of the application.

How You'll Do It:

• Visual Design Iterations: Create multiple design iterations, incorporating feedback and refining visual elements for optimal user engagement.
• Collaborative Design Sprints: Lead collaborative design sprints with cross-functional teams to ideate and prototype solutions quickly.
• User Testing Sessions: Organize and facilitate user testing sessions, gathering feedback and insights to inform design improvements.
• Stakeholder Presentations: Communicate design decisions and rationale effectively to stakeholders, gaining buy-in and alignment on design direction.
• Workshops: Conduct user research and empathy workshops to deeply understand user needs and pain points.
• Continuous Learning Initiatives: Stay updated on design trends and emerging technologies through conferences, webinars, and online courses.

What Past Experience and Current Skills Will Enable Your Success in This Role?

• Previous Experience: Demonstrated success in previous UI/UX design roles, showcasing a portfolio of user-centered design solutions.
• User-Centric Approach: Proven ability to prioritize user needs and preferences in design decision-making processes.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, etc., and understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript concepts.
• Collaboration Skills: Track record of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, resulting in successful design implementations.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Strong problem-solving skills, evidenced by innovative design solutions that address complex challenges.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear articulation of design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and design constraints, maintaining flexibility and resilience in a dynamic environment.

Pay Range: 175,000 plus Bonus
