Your Role and Responsibilities
β€’ Oversee development of the licensing and packaging strategy for IBM Db2 and IBM Informix ensuring alignment with market needs and customer expectations.
β€’ Lead drafting review and approval of product licensing agreements for IBM Db2 and IBM Informix with IBM Legal ensuring compliance and clarity in all documentation.
β€’ Provide strategic guidance on product licensing matters to a cross-functional team of 30+ professionals from Product Management Sales Customer Success and Technical teams.
β€’ Lead quarterly strategy sessions with Sales Pricing Legal and Finance teams to continuously enhance licensing models and package offerings based on collaborative input.
β€’ Review and approve non-standard pricing requests and custom licensing configurations for high-value sales deals meeting unique customer needs.
β€’ Act as the primary escalation point for high-value deals exceeding $1 million actively participating in strategic sales meetings supporting high-value sales execution.
β€’ Oversee development of global pricing strategy for IBM Db2 and IBM Informix adapting to market dynamics and customer needs.
β€’ Conduct high-level product strategy reviews with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities
β€’ Collaborate with Sales leadership to review and approve targeted sales plays to drive product revenue goals
β€’ Lead quarterly enablement for sales teams focusing on new product features competitive positioning and effective objection handling.
β€’ Direct the creation and approval of all product-related content including website materials blogs and social media posts.
β€’ Oversee the annual product Profit and Loss (P&L) for IBM Informix currently responsible for $200 million in revenue.
β€’ Lead Quarterly Business Review meetings for IBM Informix highlighting product performance challenges and set strategic action plans for future quarters.
β€’ Define and monitor KPIs for IBM Informix for product performance including revenue market share and customer acquisition costs to assess success.
β€’ Serve as the IBM executive chairing International Informix User Group Board meetings gathering strategic input from global users on product direction.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
– Technical familiarity with Db2 and Informix databases
– Proven track record working closely with sales and marketing to drive execution
– Experience working with cloud databases across all major hyper-scalers
– Experience with pricing packaging and distribution strategy for database software
– Experience working with go-to-market teams to drive sales and marketing strategy for a database software business
– Experience working with sales leadership to progress opportunities to close
– Experience establishing new pricing & packaging policies for database software
– Oversee a product’s profit & loss statement
