Job Summary
This role is primarily focused on enhancing our Remote Support (RS) product offering within the Secure Remote Access market space. As a member of Beyond Trust’s product management team, the Senior Product Manager for RS is responsible for planning and execution throughout all phases of the product lifecycle. However, as a Senior Product Manager, you will have a more significant role and responsibility in determining the higher-level product mission and strategy with accountability for the product roadmap to achieve that vision and mission. In this role, you will work with a variety of Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS technologies alongside critical compensating technologies, such as on-prem and cloud-native identity providers, public and private cloud platforms, virtualization technologies, all of which are used to deliver our solutions to our customers.
The right candidate will have technical experience across Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android operating systems and their use within the enterprise and the wider business landscape, both on-premise and in private/public cloud. You must have experience in both delivering SaaS products to market and growing the revenue and market share of those products. You will build the product strategies for RS, through the market, customer, and user research, which you will be expected to translate into the roadmap, priority, use cases, and requirements. You will oversee the execution and delivery of these requirements to our customers across cross-functional stakeholders, working to remove blockers along the way.  You will have a relentless focus on ease of use and user experience, never compromising on the overall experience we deliver to our end users.
The right candidate will have first-hand experience in delivering security solutions to market, ideally across the ITSM, IAM, IGA or PAM sectors. You must have a solid grasp of core identity and remote access security principles and zero trust architecture.
The right candidate will be expected to show commercial prowess, in the form of creating and sharing business cases and obtaining subsequent buy-in for delivery of innovative new solutions. Strong management of pipeline generation in conjunction with Product Marketing is expected, and tactical working with sales to help shepherd deals through the pipeline to complete is essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Take ownership and accountability for the Linux EPM product vision & mission, and creation and execution of the strategy to deliver on that vision & mission, whilst making sure to continually validate your plans both internally and with the wider market.
- Conduct strategic business opportunity analysis - including epics and user stories, win/loss research, working with industry analysts, customers & market surveys, customer advisory boards, and performing on-site visits with customers and prospects - to aid in defining the product direction.
- Evangelize your product in the market through direct-to-customer channels such as webinars, conferences, and user groups.
- Use frameworks such as the Jobs-to-be-Done model to collect, prioritize and internally communicate product requirements, define product features, manage and communicate product roadmap and future versions
- Solicit input for new platform enhancements from customer-facing internal partners: Â product management, R&D, sales, solution engineers, marketing, customer support, and engineering.
- Create and maintain a backlog of proposed platform enhancements to be utilized to analyze and select what will comprise a new platform release.
- Develop financial justification analyses, utilize standard scoring criteria, and obtain low-fidelity effort scoping to rank order and decide on which enhancements will be represented in a release.
- Work with other Product Managers, UX Designers & Researchers, Product Marketers, Solutions Engineers, Sales Account Executives, and Software Developers to build great software.
- Assist Product Marketing and Marketing in helping to properly position and launch new versions of BeyondTrust products and services
- Support pre-sales engagements with complex or unique customer installation questions in a timely, efficient, and professional manner, and support sales enablement activities.
- Conduct post-release research to ensure the quality and market fit of released enhancements.Â
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in marketing, product management, or computer science
- 5+ years in product management
- Strong experience in the information security industry and with security software products
- Strong technical acumen, with a solid understanding of infrastructure and open-source software and modern application architectures

- Proficiency working within a Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), specifically with scrum/agile approaches
