Senior Product Manager - Water and Waste Management

Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Sustainability Software business unit is seeking talented and motivated Software Product & Release managers with a focus on solutions for Waste & Water Management leveraging capabilities across IBM Envizi IBM Maximo Monitor & Tririga.

The Product Manager will play critical role in driving the growth of the IBM Sustainability SaaS business. Key responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with functional groups across the company to deliver world-class Water and Waste Management solutions including UX/Design Tech Leads Developers QA teams other Product Managers service delivery teams sales and marketing.

• Maintain intimate knowledge and awareness of Water and Waste Management best practices and evolving global environmental regulations.

• Be the voice of the customer and empathize with client pain in all aspects of the product development life cycle and delivery process.

• Foster and drive a customer centric agile development culture. Document product requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Maintain a future vision and roadmap for your product based on feedback from clients and partners to ensure a strong product-market fit and competitive advantage.

• Regularly engage with sellers tech sellers business partners and clients to communicate your product’s value proposition.

• Develop and maintain a suite of enablement content for your product including product updates knowledge base articles videos user guides demo sites and scripts FAQ’s competitor battle cards sales collateral and internal training materials.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum 5 years of customer and industry experience in delivering Water and Waste Management solutions including data collection and management trend analysis issue management project management environmental reporting and compliance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated knowledge and experience working with IBM Maximo Application Suite.
• Track record in Product Management including market analysis customer requirements gathering product strategy and vision development user story definition agile product delivery best practices customer delivery and support.
• Experience with systems and software development processes.
• Experience writing detailed requirements and/or agile stories.
• Proven interpersonal skills bridging the gap between technical and business focals.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Experience working directly with clients.
• Proven problem-solving skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience building or delivering products related to Water & Waste Management or ESG reporting.
• Lead the balancing of feature aspirations with market needs customer demands and technical reality.
• Understand trends and patterns to inform product roadmap and strategy
• Work with our designers to create simple elegant solutions to solve complex customer problems.
• Collaborate and work with our development teams in an Agile manner to continuously deliver value to our customers
• Own documentation effectively communicate and manage expectations about the product features roadmap and priorities.
• Lead and participate in technical deep dive sessions with customers and users
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Mentor and guide a team of Product Managers and Senior Product Managers.
• Stellar writing and communication skills

• Experience with Cloud technologies and B2B enterprise software products is preferred.
