The Integrated Products Division of Applied Research Associates, Inc. is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity in which we are looking for a qualified candidate to lead a variety of highly technical projects in Unmanned Systems and Sensors for both commercial and Government customers. With this opportunity you will lead a team of highly qualified engineers, technicians, and support staff in a dynamic environment. This position provides you with the opportunity to be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle. In addition to managing the engineering and manufacturing processes, you will have an opportunity to interface with customers, deliver products, and grow our business.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the performance of the project, including managing budgets and schedules, ensuring deliverables, meeting contract requirements and company policies, procedures, and guidelines. You will oversee the technical development, marketing, and resource allocation within a program client base. Project areas will represent multiple functional areas such as engineering, systems analysis, quality control and administration.

  • Essential Functions:
    • Manage a product or project development team consisting of engineers and technicians. The Senior Project Manager is accountable in meeting contract requirements. The Senior Project Manager is also accountable for ensuring that design, verification, and validation is met for the technical objective.
    • Interface with our current customers.
    • Travel to existing and potential customer sites for Marketing, Design Review, and Demonstration meetings.
  • Required Experience and Skills:

    • Requires Bachelor's degree or Equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Software or Systems Engineering
    • 7-9 years of related engineering experience
    • Effective Communicator
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office Tools; Word, Excel, Power Point and Project
    • Must have familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, Baan or the like.

  • Preferred:
    • ISO 9001 Quality Assurance
    • PMP Certification or certification within one year from hire.
