πŸ“ About this role

With Writer, you'll be working closely with the product and the engineering team to ship a product that tens of thousands of people rely on every day.

As our most senior QA engineer, you’ll take over a key part of the QA process and define key quality KPIs and metrics for the product. You'll drive testing efforts and lead our automation strategies, and we'll look to you for leadership on maintaining the highest bar of quality possible for all releases.

πŸ¦ΈπŸ»β€β™€οΈ Your responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests

  • Maintain and improve automation frameworks that can be used by both engineering and QA

  • Perform automated and manual testing efforts for Writer and our extensions/integrations

  • Help define, improve, and implement QA standard methodologies

⭐️ Is this you?

  • BS in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering

  • 4+ years of QA engineering experience

  • Have hands-on experience crafting test strategies, test plans, and test cases

  • Experience with UI automation frameworks

  • Experience with test automation using Python, Java

  • Efficient in effort estimation, planning, prioritization and time management

  • Proactive communication skills, both sync and async

  • Flexible and positive

  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction

  • Set the highest possible bar for what you ship: it’s consumer-grade or bust

  • A love for good writing
