Senior Quantum Experimentalist for Cloud Hardware

Alice&Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems. The quantum computer we envision building is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit. In comparison to other superconducting platforms, cat qubits have the astonishing ability to implement quantum error correction autonomously!

You will be the one developing and managing the quantum hardware dedicated to the Cloud service. You will both work with our product team to improve and expand the capabilities of the available Cloud hardware for end-users, and with experimentalists developing our cat-qubit processors to integrate their latest advances. Your work will have a direct impact on the image of the company!

Responsibilities

• Develop automatized, stable, and fast calibration routines of the cat-qubit hardware that is made available through the Cloud service.
• Integrate the latest advances of our cat-qubit processors in the Cloud hardware.
• Manage hardware resources dedicated to the Cloud service (control electronics, chips, cryogenic components, etc).
• Contribute with the Product team to the identification of end-user needs and develop new features to fulfil them.
• Improve the hardware availability of the Cloud service.
• Work closely with quantum experimentalists working on new versions of our cat-qubit processors, on the one hand to identify the new features to integrate in the
• Cloud hardware, on the other hand to disseminate the calibration routines and good practices allowing to have a stable system with large uptime.
