We see a profound opportunity for data to improve the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of operations, and hope you consider joining us on this exciting journey.Â
About the role:
Samsara is looking for a Senior Sales Operations Analyst to play a critical role in building and scaling our sales organization. Our team partners cross functionally to drive strategic initiatives stemming from sales leaders and executives across the business as we continue on our journey to being a multi-billion dollar ARR organization. We collaborate with said leaders to help guide, develop, and roll out initiatives to the business.Â
You should apply if:Â
- You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact—helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.
- You have innate curiosity in how businesses work: One day you’ll meet with someone in waste management and the next you may be learning about the inner workings of a food distribution center. Our top sales team members seek to learn the ins and outs of the businesses they support in order to make a larger impact.Â
- You build genuine relationships with your customers: The industries we serve have relied on pen-and-paper solutions for years and haven’t been met with the type of technology we offer. Our customers value earned trust and human relationships built over time.
- You want to be with the best: Samsara’s high-performance culture means you’ll be surrounded by the best and challenged to go farther than you have before.Â
- You are a team player: At Samsara, sales is a team sport. We help each other out by sharing best practices and focus on winning as a team.

- Identify opportunities for process optimization, process redesign, or development of new process/policies; develop operational measurements to identify business process issues and provide recommendations and solutions to business challenges
- Support corporate priorities and initiatives stemming from the executive team
- Partner with our systems team to develop, QA, and implement workflows in SFDC to help scale our business across segments
- Assist with administering all sales systems, including SFDC, 3rd party software providers, and proprietary software tools
- Work cross-functionally with other business process owners to ensure changes to SFDC and other sales systems are consistent with business needs
- Build and maintain key documentation regarding our policies, sale processes, and requirements
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 3-6 years of experience in analytical roles (e.g., Sales Operations, Quota Operations, Consulting, Business Operations, etc)
- Kind and collaborative orientation who is energized by working with a lot of different types of people from many teams
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to independently manage multiple work streams on a tight deadline
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with leaders and cross functional partners
- Comfortable with ambiguity and enthusiastic about improving efficiencies
- Strong skillset with analytical tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) and willingness to expand skill set to tackle new problems
- Daily Salesforce experience and associated data management experience
An ideal candidate also has:
- Experience with Salesforce renewals, CPQ, and partner tools are a plus
- Insatiable drive and commitment to personal growth
- A natural aptitude to embody Samsara’s values, especially “Build for the Long Term” and “Win as a Team”
- Rigorous prioritization of both personal time and projects
- A bias to action and a sense of gratification when bringing order to ambiguity
- High level of curiosity and honesty. We love to debate ideas! Losing a debate to a good argument is as exciting as winning one with a good argument
- Experience with revenue or sales planning topics such as sales segmentation, sales performance metrics, and quota planning
