In this role you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
As a SAP TM Consultant you will serve as a client-facing practitioner who sells leads and implements expert services utilizing the breadth of IBM's offerings and technologies. A successful Consultant is regarded by clients as a trusted business advisor who collaborates to provide innovative solutions used to solve the most challenging business problems.
You will work developing solutions that excel at user experience style performance reliability and scalability to reduce costs and improve profit and shareholder value.
Your primary responsibilities include:
• Client-Centric SAP Solution Engagement: Work with our clients in the selection implementation and support of SAP solutions which include design configuration and testing.
• Excellence in SAP Transportation Management (TM) Module: Assure successful Transportation Management (TM) module deliverables on SAP Distribution engagements including implementation upgrade and extension of existing applications.
• Proactive Approach to Continuous Improvement: Work within a continuous improvement framework challenging ideas and finding solutions to problems.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for SAP TM ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
- Manage and deliver change requests system enhancements and minor projects to support business process evolution.
- Perform detailed root cause analyses of recurring issues and propose permanent corrective actions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze requirements translate them into functional specifications and implement SAP TM configuration changes.
- Support TM functionalities such as freight order management freight unit building planning & scheduling carrier selection charge management settlement and freight cost calculation.
- Ensure seamless integration between SAP TM and EWM ERP (SD/MM/FI) and third-party logistics systems.
- Support testing activities including unit testing integration testing regression testing and UAT.
- Document functional designs configuration settings and operational procedures for knowledge management.
- Work closely with ABAP and interface teams to resolve technical issues perform debugging and manage transport activities.
- Monitor system performance proactively identifying optimization opportunities.
- Provide end-user guidance and training as necessary.
- Stay current on SAP TM best practices release updates and new functionalities.
