Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivatedService Technicianto join our team. This role involves daily on-site service at customer locations, with approximately 30-50% travel within the region. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment, including HVAC/ refrigeration, Chillers and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
· Troubleshoot electrical and refrigeration systems at customer sites.
· Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machines, ensuring compliance with factory specifications and accuracy standards.
· Diagnose, repair, certify, and recalibrate machines.
· Respond to service calls and provide timely resolutions to technical issues.
· Support other service representatives and customers with technical expertise.
· Develop or modify machine-related computer programs and systems.
· Handle both mechanical and electrical tasks:
·Mechanical:Assembly/disassembly, leveling, diagnostics, repairs on automated equipment.
·Electrical:Control system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs.
·Refrigeration:Installing, troubleshooting and repairs.
· Collaborate with product development teams to establish testing processes for new products.
· Define system test and inspection requirements.
· Assist in the development and design of new/existing products.
· Conduct warranty troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
• Advanced troubleshootingfor commercial & industrial HVAC systems (RTUs, chillers, boilers, split systems).
• Electrical diagnostics– reading schematics, testing circuits, identifying faults.
• Refrigeration expertise– knowledge of various refrigerants, charging procedures, leak detection, EPA compliance.
• Controls & automation– programming, repairing, and integrating building management systems (BAS/BMS).
• Cascade & multi-stage chiller systems– operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Airflow design & balancing– ductwork layout, static pressure testing, and airflow optimization.
• Brazing, soldering, and weldingfor piping repairs and installations.
• Preventive & predictive maintenanceplanning for large systems.
• Good driving record and ability to travel throughout the West Coast region.
• Strong computer skills and excellent phone communication abilities.
• Commitment to safety standards at customer and manufacturing sites.
