Senior Site Civil Engineer

Ardmore Roderick is seeking an experienced Senior Site Civil Engineer to plan, design, and permitting of various civil engineering and land development projects in the Chicago Metro area. 

The successful candidate shall possess and demonstrate the following qualifications:

• 7+ years of civil engineering experience with at least 2 years of site development design
• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Construction Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Illinois
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or Revit
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Other valued qualifications include:

• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Ability to work independently with general supervision and as part of a larger design team
• Experience with managing small teams or projects
• Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM)
• Proficiency with ArcGIS, HEC-HMS, or HEC-RAS

 Duties & Responsibilities:

• Civil design including site geometrics, profiles/grading, stormwater management calculations, utility coordination, permitting, plan & specifications preparation, and other related tasks for site developments.
• Assist with the preparation of proposals which include scope, schedules, and budgets
• Coordination and assistance to other company departments (Transportation, Survey, etc).
• Manage and schedule execution of projects.
• Monitor projects productivity, quality, and progress.
• Monitor and resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner
