Senior Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with extensive experience in software and systems engineering to ensure our cloud-based platforms, particularly in Azure, are both reliable and scalable. This role involves significant contributions to the development and support of platforms that manage and communicate with IoT devices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable systems across multi-region Azure cloud architectures
• Ensure disaster recovery plans are consistently in place and undergo regular testing
• Configure and enhance monitoring and alerting processes with Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, and OpsGenie
• Develop dashboards to track system performance and reliability metrics
• Use Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management
• Implement continuous deployment and infrastructure change best practices
• Enhance release management and CI/CD processes using Jenkins
• Improve system security following security team recommendations
• Design and document system support processes
• Write and test runbooks for operational efficiency and incident response

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer
• Proven experience with multi-region Azure cloud architectures
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux environments
• Strong knowledge of Cosmos DB (Mongo API & SQL API) and MS SQL Server
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, and OpsGenie
• Experience with .NET Core and ASP.NET Core applications
• Expertise in using Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Experience with CI/CD tools and a solid understanding of Azure Networking concepts
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong self-motivation and ability to self-manage tasks and projects
• B2+ English level
• Availability to overlap until 12 PM EST

• Experience with Azure IoT Hub and EventHub
