Senior Software Engineer

Our expanding Israel R&D team is hiring an Experienced Software Engineer to join our top-notch team of developers in advancing the next generation of AI and vision-assisted robotics in the operating room. This is an exciting time to join Asensus and to be part of a leading technology and cutting edge team that is changing the surgical robotics industry.

The role will be part of the Asensus software team and will be responsible for designing and developing software for complex surgical robotic platforms, focusing on desktop applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of medical device software for existing and future complex surgical robotic platforms
• Implement system software and infrastructure with particular emphasis on Desktop applications which involve high performance video, graphics and communication.
• Work in an agile global R&D team, and interact with cross-functional departments to define requirements, design, and new features
• Comply with regulatory requirements, including company design control procedures
• Assist in document control and maintenance of design history files
• All Other Essential Duties as directed

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related engineering degree.
• Fluency in Hebrew and English.
• 4+ years of experience developing C++ code for Windows platform using Visual Studio.
• Experience with C#/.NET
• Experience with multi-threading applications.
• Strong understanding of OOP.
• Capable of working in a cross-functioning team environment.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Experience with GIT
• Fluency in Hebrew and English

• Communication protocols (such as TCP/IP, UDP, DDS)
• GUI frameworks such as QT / WPF / Winforms / .NET MAUI / Blazor
• Experience with video applications
• Experience with Linux and cross-platform development
• Experience with Python
• Basic knowledge with CICD platform
• Experience in a global company
• Experience in a medical device company
