Senior Software Engineer, Frontend

Role

We are seeking a team-oriented and passionate Senior Software Engineer, Frontend to join our Engineering team. This role will be integral to maintaining and improving SmarterDx’s client review application. This is a great opportunity to help scale up an application that is already successful, and work alongside a collaborative and high-performing team while doing so.

This role is fully remote within the US.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and improving SmarterDx’s client review application
• Developing new features and fixing bugs within the application
• Collaborating with the team to design and implement robust frontend solutions
• Writing and maintaining unit tests to ensure application reliability and performance

Your qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a frontend focus
• Advanced proficiency in React.js, with a strong portfolio demonstrating complex applications.
• Experience with Next.js applications
• Familiarity with Material-UI or similar design frameworks is highly regarded.
• Strong experience in integrating RESTful APIs; GraphQL knowledge is highly desirable.
• Proficient in using Git/GitHub for version control.
• Experience in writing robust unit tests, with Jest experience being advantageous.
• You’re a true team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills

Nice-to-have qualifications

• General full-stack development experience in Python and JavaScript/Typescript
• Experience with AWS services (Amplify, Cognito, Dynamo, Lambda)
• Experience with external error reporting tools (e.g. Sentry)
• Active participation in or contributions to open-source projects
• Prior experience in the healthcare sector

Compensation and benefits

• $180K to $210K base salary + equity
