About this role:

Thanks for your interest in Found! Our engineering team is responsible for taking products from ideation to being used by tens of thousands of users every week. We’re responsible for everything from building the product to technical operations (and everything in between such as getting better with outages improving reliability reducing tech debt…)

Found’s Taxes & Bookkeeping Team is responsible for building simple and compelling tax bookkeeping and payment products that save our customers time and money. We also help Found reach new customer segments and differentiate as an all-in-one solution.

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer that is excited to build test and deploy maintainable code. You will be building Found’s core bookkeeping functionality expanding our suite of Accountant tools growing our paid subscription offering and adding more functionality to our Invoicing product.

Some recent team accomplishments include:

• Launching an Accountant portal that allows Found banking users to invite their Accountants to collaborate on their books.

• Launching (in partnership with a vendor) a fully embedded tax filing experience from within the Found app.

• Allowing customers to connect and import transactions from other banks or cards.

• Successfully scaling our tax calculation jobs to handle an order of magnitude increase in transaction volume.

• Launching a tap to pay feature for Found customers to accept card payments directly from their mobile devices.

Day to day you will:

• Collaborate with other engineers to build and ship both user and internal facing features.

• Work directly with designers and product managers to design and ideate on features.

• Determine how we will build test deploy and scale features.

• Build secure and maintainable code.

To thrive in this role you have:

• 5+ years of experience with backend and frontend frameworks.

• Passion for learning and growing as an engineer and team member.

• Knowledge of Ruby on Rails React Typescript MySQL and Redis.

You may also have:

• Some experience with at least some of the technologies we use.

• Previous startup experience and/or demonstrated technical initiative on previous projects.

• Experience or interest in financial services accounting and/or self-employment.

• Experience in tax related products or services.

• Experience as a manager tech lead architect or founding engineer (not required - we are hiring at all levels!).

Compensation at Found

The anticipated salary range for this role is $181000 - $241000. The salary range listed represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position across all US locations. Within the range individual pay is determined by several factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training.
