Senior Software Engineer II - DevOps, Site Reliability Engineer

Reports to: Manager, DevOps - SRE 

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate and liaison with global teams across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to deliver software products and client services and to remove obstacles and blockers 
• Automate and scale development, networking, security, and operational infrastructure using code and DevOps tools 
• Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and performance 
• Work closely with product teams to fix and resolve infrastructure-related issues 
• Support production hosting operations as needed 
• Optimize and improve existing workflows in a regulated and compliant environment 
• Use critical thinking skills to solve problems with a logical, process-oriented approach
• Perform other related duties as required
• Works with stakeholders in the Development organization to drive innovation and improve development processes. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
• Extensive knowledge of SDLC and its tooling 
• Extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux 
• Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) 
• Extensive knowledge of IIS and the dotnet ecosystem 
• Expert-level understanding of DevOps principles and best practices 
• Ability to automate entire SDLC transitions using standard tooling and extend functionality using custom code. 
• Ability to troubleshoot issues with high complexity 
• High-level understanding of web application architecture and technologies 
• Strong expertise in working with Jenkins and extending Jenkins via shared libraries. 
• Strong experience with using and optimizing observability tools (Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Grafana) 
• Experience in supporting mobile development for both Android/iOS 
• Experience in building and supporting local container-based development environments and dev environments as code approaches 
• Solid coding skills in at least one programming or scripting language 
• Solid skills in at least one cloud service platform 
• Good understanding of databases such as SQLServer, Postgres 
• Good experience in using terraform and ansible 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and learning capability 
• Excellent time management and organizational skills 
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills required 

Experience: 

• At least 10 years of experience in DevOps
