Description
As the Activity Apps iOS Senior Engineer, you'll guide a team that builds and ships activity apps that connect to millions of users in over 20 languages. We use scrum with daily stand-ups, two-week sprints, sprint planning, and retrospectives. You'll be interacting with other teams (quality engineering, design, content management, API, security, localization, etc.) to ship a quality app worthy of the Swoosh. You'll use your Swift talent to help us build out the NRC app with exciting new features and capabilities.

You will be working alongside other developers across various infrastructure layers, building new features, fixing bugs, and writing tests for your code. We're looking for someone with a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products. Our ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of Apple's iOS SDK and the Swift language.

Combined with this technical knowledge, we're looking for someone who can take direction and run with it and complete feature development with quality, on schedule, and according to specification.
Responsibilities
  • Develop high quality features on iOS and watchOS
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Collaborate with team to define, design, and ship new features
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve application performance and code stability
  • Help maintain code quality and organization
Skills
Must demonstrate high proficiency in:
  • The Swift language
  • Object-oriented programming
  • Memory Management
  • Multi-threading
  • Databases and other system data stores
  • Designing mobile apps to consume server-based REST APIs
  • Code versioning tools, especially Git


Should also have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Systems, or similar field or relevant professional experience, education, and training
  • A good sense of UI design and a user-oriented focus
  • Experience with automated testing and unit tests
  • Understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines
  • Familiarity with continuous integration
  • Experience publishing production apps to the Apple App Store
  • Familiarity with DevOps model of development and QA within a single team
  • Experience with agile development methodologies namely SCRUM and/or Kan Ban

Open to remote work, except cannot work in South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia. These candidates will be required to relocate.

For employees based in Colorado, this position starts at $121,000.00 per year. Information about benefits can be found here .
