Senior Software Engineer, Integrations

Please note that this is an 100% remote role for anyone currently located in the US or Canada. With an HQ in Boston, you may be asked to travel a few times per year for company events, quarterly planning, etc. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide sponsorship for this role at this given time.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and product owners to integrate with third party applications with a focus on Electronic Health Record systems (EHRs)
• Develop feature components to access and display Linus Health applications in EHRs
• Lead software development projects and perform code reviews
• Establish best practices based on design patterns and mentor others
• Estimate work, prioritize tasks, track dependencies, report progress, and highlight blockers

About You:

Must Haves:

• Experience leading development efforts on a shipped product
• Experience integrating with 3rd party vendors
• Expertise in REST patterns and general API design, documentation, and testing
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: Typescript, Node.js, Python
• Ability and willingness to learn new languages and frameworks as needed
• Ability to navigate ambiguous problems, decompose high-level information into details, and define constraints
• Experience with CI/CD and testing (unit and integration tests), as well as Git workflows
• Experience with cloud-native development (e.g. AWS - Lambda, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, or equivalent)
• Experience with relational, NoSQL, and/or key-value stores
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code

Nice To Haves:

• Experience integrating with EHRs such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, etc. including use of vendors’ application marketplaces such as Epic Vendor Services, Cerner CODE, and Athenahealth Marketplace Program
• Healthcare data integration experience with knowledge of specifications such as HL7 v2, FHIR, DICOM, and CDA
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience working in the healthcare industry or a regulated industry (HIPAA compliance, FDA, etc.)

• The base salary budgeted for this position is in the $145,000-$170,000 range per year. This position will include an annual discretionary target bonus based on performance as well as equity. The final offer determined for the candidate who is hired for this position will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to the candidate's relevant skills, professional experience, labor market conditions, etc. This role will include a discretionary annual bonus target based on performance as well as equity.
