Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in Kotlin or Java and C++.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with application design and architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with Android application development.
  • 3 years of experience working on Wifi/Connectivity/Protocols.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Experience in developing embedded systems / Linux.
  • Experience with Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
  • Understanding of networking transports and protocols, including Wi-Fi and BT/BLE.

As a member of the Split Compute team, you will help to deliver platform services, the developer Software Development Kit (SDK), and testing frameworks to enable a rich ecosystem for Augmented Reality (AR).

The Google Augmented Reality team is a diverse group of experts tasked with building the foundations for great immersive computing and building helpful, delightful user experiences. We're focused on making immersive computing accessible to billions of people through mobile devices, and our scope continues to grow and evolve.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of components in the Split Compute software platform.
  • Participate in design reviews and code reviews, providing feedback to peers.
  • Contribute to existing documentation and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Collaborate with other team members and cross-functional peers to help plan and scope project work and successfully deliver the team's goals.
