Senior Software Engineering Manager

What You Will Be Doing

As a senior software engineer, you'll collaborate closely and autonomously with Product Management, Architecture, and QA teams on the development and upkeep of the ChargePoint Charger Management System. Working within a scrum team primarily based in Europe and India, you'll empower station owners with a suite of features including Dashboards, Accounts, Reports, APIs, and more to effectively manage thousands of charging stations.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint?

We work in cross-functional teams, which means you will be in close communication with product management, program managers, and engineering managers to build technical requirements; subsequently, work with engineering teams to develop software design, etc.

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, developing the product from minimum viability to world-scale maturity. Ensure requirements are fully understood and implementation matches expectations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building back-end software

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)

• Good in CS fundamentals - data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.

• Proven software development experience in PHP up to v8.1

• Working knowledge of the web frameworks React and Angular

• Knowledge of Laravel up to v7, CodeIgniter up to v3

• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX etc.

• Working knowledge of relational databases

• Knowledge of any of the cloud providers AWS/ Azure/ GCP etc.

• Great verbal and written communication skills

• Familiarity with NOSQL, ELK stack is a plus
