Senior Specialist, Import/Export

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with Operations and advise on the customs regulations.
• Coordinate local logistics and overseas shipments to ensure goods are delivered smoothly. This includes providing custom clearing support, preparing shipping documents etc.
• Inbound shipment management with close co-ordination with local Operations and intercompany factories.
• Outbound logistics arrangement for all shipments
• Management of freight forwarders
• Support annual stock take
• Participate and take on additional assignments and projects as required.

DUTIES:

IMPORTS

• Verify pre alert import documents with PO in ERP System
• Verify & approve check list
• Arrange for technical write-up, MSDS
• Arrange to obtain Certificate from the Department of Foreign trade for certain category of items like, import of Integrated Circuits, Steel, Paper etc.
• Clarify if any query by Customs regarding Harmonised codes, Material and supplier details
• Follow up with Freight forwarder and provide GST documents for movement of materials from Customs to NI
• Submit documents for remittance to suppliers against import bills

EXPORTS

• Prepare export invoice & Packing list in line with foreign letter of Credit, Foreign exchange regulation Act & Customs procedures. Arrange for MSDS, COO certificate Arrange freight forwarder
• Follow up to collect Air way bill and Shipping bill of entry
• Submit proof of export to Bank

INSURANCE (MARINE)

• Submit material movement to report to Insurance Office
• Submit Insurance Claim

WARRANTY & SHIPPING DISCREPANCY REPORT

• Raise Warranty and Shipping discrepancy reports.
• Interaction with freight forwarder, clearing agents to obtain quotes for Import/ Export

AUDIT

• Participate and provide details/clarifications to Cost Auditor / Statutory Auditor

AUTHORISED ECONOMIC OPERATOR CERTIFICATE ( IMPORTER & EXPORTER ) ORDER

• Submission of documents for obtaining AEO certificate at Customs..

SVB ORDER

• Submission of documents for SVB orders.
