We have an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant in our Los Angeles, CA facility.
Job Tasks:
β’ Preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
β’ Timely and accurately maintains monthly, quarterly, and annual tax return filings for sales & use tax, gross receipts and other miscellaneous state and local taxes.
β’ Prepares annual property tax returns
β’ Assists in documenting, reviewing, and analyzing processes for necessary controls and efficiencies.
β’ Manage and maintain Fixed Assets subledger and record monthly journal entries for Depreciation.
β’ Maintain monthly supporting schedules (prepaids, amortization, roll-forward schedules etc.)
β’ Reviews inventory costing variances
β’ Maintain lease accounting schedule related to right of use β ASC842
β’ Maintain rent schedule β provide to AP
β’ Prepare and record month-end allocations
β’ Responsible for financial reporting package & flux analysis
β’ Prepare payroll entries
β’ A/P and A/R as directed by Controller
β’ Reconciling event data between billing, sales, and system reports
β’ Reconciling cash activity between system reports and bank statements
β’ Researching variances and troubleshooting issues
β’ Processing bank transfers and settlement batches
β’ Responding to client and internal inquiries
Required Skills and experience:
β’ Bachelor's degree in accounting
β’ 2-3 years of experience as senior accountant.
β’ 4-6 years of experience as G/L accountant
β’ Competencies (skills, knowledge, abilities)
β’ Proficiency at the basic level of accounting and knowledgeable of the intermediate concepts of accounting
β’ Computer Literacy in a Windows environment with emphasis in Word, Advanced Excel and Outlook (Pivot tables and Vlookups a must)
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Detail oriented and organized; Project oriented and ability to plan and manage workload on their own; Able to work independently; Team player with a willingness to help with anything to get the job done
β’ ERP system experience
β’ Month-End closing experience
β’ Annual Audit experience
β’ Inventory exposure
β’ General Ledger reconciliation
