Senior Staff Accountant

Position Overview: Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join their client's team in Nevada. This role requires a seasoned accounting professional with a strong corporate accounting background. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective fulfillment of all customer orders while maintaining accuracy in processing orders and invoices.Responsibilities: • Prepare journal entries; perform bank reconciliations, record monthly depreciation, and other analyses to complete the monthly financial statements. • Reconcile various Balance Sheet accounts monthly before review by the Controller and CFO. • Prepare governmental returns including property taxes, excise taxes, and other required filings. • Prepare and audit hourly payroll for processing every other week. • Reconcile inventory balances for all companies on a weekly basis. • Participate in the physical inventory count process, including reconciliation to perpetual inventory listings and document all material variances to the Controller. • Complete year-end detailed schedules and computations as requested by the Controller. • Perform other duties as assigned or directed by management.Qualifications: • B.A. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting preferred. • Minimum of 3-5 years of practical work experience in accounting; experience with treasury activities preferred. • Ability to handle complex accounting functions and issues. • CPA certification or progress towards CPA certification is preferred. • Strong MS Office Skills with an emphasis on Excel and Word. • Experience using ORACLE is preferred. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to resolve issues over the phone. • Results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask under tight guidelines and timeframes. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Work Hours: Monday - Friday, during standard business hours.Benefits: • 401(k) with matching • Dental insurance • Disability insurance • Employee assistance program • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time offAdditional Details: Salary:$80,000 - $95,000 per year This position offers a rewarding opportunity for a professional eager to advance their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.
