Senior Staff Accountant

The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for general ledger accounting, and other accounting department tasks as assigned. JOB DUTIES: • Monthly Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited to: • Review and analyze income/expense accounts for proper coding of transactions. • Prepare and enter recurring and non-routine journal entries. • Reconcile general ledger accounts to detail subsidiary ledgers and data (such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets) and make appropriate corrections of errors identified. • Reconcile 24 bank accounts. • Perform other related duties Quarterly/Annual Responsibilities Include: • Investigate and explain variances in accounts. • Prepare and post end of month entries • Prepare special reports for CFO/Controller and others in top management. • Assist with fiscal year-end audit. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS • Must be diligent, punctual, and self-motivated with attention to detail, able to organize own work, set priorities, and meet critical deadlines. • Strong working knowledge of month end close processing, general ledger, and banking. • Must exhibit a sense of urgency regarding matters that impact the Company. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree in accounting. • Must have five years accounting experience • Intermediate Excel skills – Pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s • Experience working with an ERP • Strong analytical skills. • Must be able to thrive in a multitask environment • Must be able to pass a background screen. • Must be able to commute to our Addison, TX office location, this is an “in office” position.
