About the Role The Senior Accountant ensures accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards while contributing to the overall financial health and decision-making process of the business. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Financial Controller to manage the accounting functions, such as preparing financial reports, analysing financial data, complying with tax regulations and supporting audits. Key Responsibilities: • Preparing and filing state and local tax returns • Ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations • Working with external tax authorities for quarterly and year-end tax requests • Prepare month end journal entries and reconciliation • Record corporate credit card activity and reconcile supporting documentation • Maintaining and improving on internal controls to prevent errors and inefficiencies • Supporting audit by preparing required documentation and addressing inquiries • Collaborating with management to align accounting activities with organizational goals • Participating in special projects including ad hoc financial analysis and process improvements What are we looking for? • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or related field is required • In-depth understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards • Knowledge of financial reporting and internal control systems • Familiarity with Federal, State and local tax regulations • Understanding of corporate tax filings and compliance requirements • Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable insights • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Experience with Accounting software • Hands-on experience with internal and external auditors • Ability to cross train - Payroll, AP, AR What’s in it for you? • Work with an industry leader and subsidiary of ASX listed Amotiv Limited, one of Australia’s leading conglomerates of automotive aftermarket product brands • A chance to work across a group of businesses that are at the forefront of their industry and technology • Competitive salary and employee benefits, including staff discounts and employee assistance programs • Structured leadership development programs and training opportunities • Open and collaborative culture and management style with strong team environment • A people first culture with a focus on wellness Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Parental leave • Vision insurance Schedule: • Monday to Friday Ability to Commute: • Auburn, WA 98001 (Preferred) Work Location: In person
