Position Summary
As a Senior Structural Designer, you will be responsible for planning, designing and providing graphic support for all phases of structural engineering work. You will develop structural arrangements and handle a multitude of production documentation details within design applications. In this role, you will coordinate pertinent structural specifications, guideline adherence, stress analysis and calculations with the project management team to ensure multi-discipline design coordination and compliance.
- Plan and prepare 3D structural design and fabrication drawings for various capital projects
- Provide structural design assistance to factories including graphic design support for Division Engineering, structural troubleshooting, enhancements and standardization
- Execute technical design support integrating code requirements and all aspects of food processing considerations including building design, foundations for process and packing equipment, personnel platforms, pipe racks and process structures
- Collaborate with process engineers to develop safe and hygienic design solutions for complex manufacturing environments
- Mitigate risk and escalate project concerns while driving alignment with scope, cost and milestones
- Maintain and develop Nestle Purina Engineering technical design guidelines, department standards and specifications
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Engineering, Drafting, Manufacturing Design or related field
- 3+ years' experience in structural drafting and design
Other
- Prefer proficiency in utilization of 3D design software programs such as Autodesk: Inventor, REVIT® (Architecture, MEP and Structures), Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks®, Vault and/or BIM 360; Solidworks beneficial as well
