Senior Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to provide vital technical management and operational support across multiple functions within our organization.
In this role, you will collaborate with our data center teams and third-party vendors, ensuring efficient ongoing support and optimization of critical areas such as Windows server operations, monitoring, virtualization, and cloud-based technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for our global data center environment, focusing on Windows server technologies, VMware, VEEAM and general server/data center maintenance
• Manage backup tools, including Veeam Backup and Replication, Cloud Endure and CloudRanger
• Utilize Microsoft utilities such as Active Directory and DFS, managing virtual instances in cloud environments like Azure, AWS and GCP
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of VMware vSphere 6.x and offer 3rd-tier support for escalated matters, including specific issues related to Microsoft Exchange 2016 or later and Office 365
• Employ AWS CLI and Gcloud Command shells to develop and implement scripts
• Lead Infrastructure projects, focusing on resource allocation and comprehensive execution plans
• Respond promptly to escalated server-related issues reported by various teams and conduct root cause analysis using best-practice troubleshooting techniques
• Proactively maintain and update procedure documentation as needed

Requirements

• Experience in VMware, Windows Server and SAN (NetApp, HP Nimble)
• Skills in Microsoft Operating Systems Server 2008-2019, PowerShell, Exchange 2010-2019, Office 365, Active Directory, VEEAM and SCOM 2012-2019
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for task automation, efficiency improvement and creating runbooks in System Center Orchestrator
• Familiarity with HP Server and Blade class machines
• Ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
