JOB SUMMARY:
Senior Business Affairs And Talent Manager
At Fusion92 the Business Manager is a part of the Production/Creative Department. The Business Manager partners with Production/Creative and Account Leadership to manage talent, music, stock footage, third-party licensing and legal clearances across all clients. They are problem solvers and collaborators. They are someone you trust that works with highly sensitive and confidential information. They are a strong communicator, negotiator, multi-tasker and are very nimble with deadlines shifting and requests coming in constantly.

This role can be remote or a part of our Chicago or Detroit office.
* While our offices are currently open, daily in-office attendance is not required.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production/Project Management
• Collaborate with Producers and vendors to create and provide accurate ballparks for multiple clients.
• Create final estimate, review details/caveats with producer prior to providing to the account manager & finance team for client signature.
• Manage and organize databases that monitor the financials of production jobs including job estimates, tracking job costs and actualizing jobs.
• Work with production vendors and producers on overages from a job-revise estimate and purchase orders after approval from client.
• Provide actuals to producers to review then let account & finance know jobs are ready to close.
• Issue purchase orders to vendors-receive invoices and send with purchase orders to finance for processing.
• Monitor production subscriptions (Extreme Reach & Interdubs)-issue monthly purchase orders and send with invoices to finance for processing.
• Execute production contracts, music agreements and location releases.
• Track and manage expiring production assets: talent, stock, music.
• Create AD-ID codes and internal agency codes for each production asset.
Talent:
• Negotiate talent session and use payments with union, overscale/celebrity and non-union talent.
• Estimate union and non-union talent session and use payments-provide to producer for ballparks.
• Draft talent releases and contracts
• Work with talent agents and post-production studios to schedule voiceover records.
• Collaborate with casting agencies for voiceovers and on-camera talent.
• Collect talent releases/contracts from shoots, create production reports & purchase orders-send everything into The Team Companies for union talent payments.
• Work with non-union talent agencies and provide purchase orders for session/use payments and invoice.
• Evaluate and manage union claims.
• Handle all re-negotiations for talent, stock and music.
• Stay up to date with Union guidelines and advise agency team and clients on union rules, best practices and regulations.
Compliance and Risk
• Act as liaison between agency and legal conducting trademark searches and assessing risks.
• Work with agency legal on issues including contracts, updating releases, contract templates and indemnifications.
• Review creative materials and advise agency teams on talent, copyright and intellectual property issues in tandem with agency legal.
• Collect new vendor onboarding documents and send to finance-confirm they have been added to the agency system.
Traffic Specialist
This person ships out final assets to stations once they are final client approved.
Tasks:
• Upload Metadata (AD-ID code/Title of Spot/length of spot) into Extreme Reach.
• Work in Extreme Reach asset management and trafficking system to ship spots.
• Email all TV station contacts from the on-air summary with traffic instructions and confirm receipt.
• Email all radio station contacts from the on-air summary with traffic instructions and confirm receipt.
• Organize Michigan station contacts for TV and radio.
• Issue purchase order to Extreme Reach
• Receive invoices and match with purchase order and send to finance for processing.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
• 7+ years agency experience in Business Affairs
• Excellent communication skills.
• Detail oriented capabilities and organization.
• Expertise in talent contract and music licensing negotiations and intellectual property rights issues.
• Implement Best Business Practices across multiple agency production disciplines.
• Current knowledge in the areas of labor relations, intellectual property, changes in the marketing law landscape across all media channels.
The hiring range for this discipline within our industry starts at $90,000.00. Where an employee is paid within this range will depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to location, years of experience, education, internal pay structure, and other contributing factors.
