Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in tax accounting and financial principles, with a strong focus on compliance and regulatory reporting working with high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships. This role involves managing complex tax issues, and providing strategic advice to clients on various financial matters. A good candidate for this role must be extremely organized and able to communicate effectively with clients and staff members by verbal, nonverbal, written and visual methods.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for businesses, including 1120, 1120-S, and 1065 (990 experience a plus).
• Prepare and review individual and trust tax returns
• Assist tax manager as needed
• Assist clients with financial sales strategies and investment planning.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation that may impact clients or the organization.
• Work directly with clients to gather information and prepare draft tax returns.
Requirements
• CPA or EA certification required; CPA certification preferred.
• Proven experience in tax accounting with a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles.
• Proficient in financial software applications and tools related to bookkeeping and accounting. In-depth knowledge of QuickBooks is a must.
• Experience with working in Lacerte is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to convey financial concepts clearly to clients.
• Knowledge of non-profit accounting practices is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
