Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Tax Manager / Planner with a robust background in tax prep and tax research. This role is pivotal in enhancing our tax strategy, ensuring compliance, and managing our financial operations across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Tax Management:
• Leverage your deep expertise in corporate, trust, partnership, and individual tax preparation and planning to lead our tax strategy.
• Oversee all aspects of tax compliance, ensuring all necessary information is prepared and filed accurately.
• Leadership & Training:
• Supervise, train, and work alongside staff handling Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger for various entities.
• Review financial ledgers and statements, distribute to management, and implement necessary corrections.
• System & Software Management:
• Act as the program administrator for the SAGE accounting system, ensuring its effective utilization for our operations.
• Manage and integrate tax, accounting software, benefit plans, and HR administration tasks.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with the existing Tax Manager to streamline tax processes and enhance our tax compliance framework.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in individual, corporate, partnership, trust tax preparation and planning across various structures.
• Proficiency in managing accounting software, particularly SAGE, and knowledge in HR and benefit plan administration.
• Additional Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry considered a significant plus.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
