Senior Texture Artist (Characters)

We are looking for a Senior Texture Artist with a character focus to be a part of our Art team. The Senior Texture Artist (Characters) will work very closely with the Art Director and our Character Art team to create high quality, realistic textures for our characters while providing consistency in game. This individual will work collaboratively with our design and engineering team as well to make visually stunning game art while maintaining exceptional performance. The Senior Texture Artist will report to our Lead Character Artist for this role.

• Work closely with Art Director and Character Art Team to create high quality textures and materials focused on our characters while providing consistency in-game
• Create high quality textures and materials to to help make detailed characters and creatures
• Work with artists, designers, and engineers to create and improve next gen shaders
• Work with designers and engineers to make visually stunning game art while maintaining good performance on next-gen platforms
• Communicate effectively with the team to fulfill the visual goals of game assets and environments 

• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise creating realistic, high quality textures and materials in gaming environment
• Experienced with creating outstanding textures using Substance Designer, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine
• Strong understanding of PBR materials and pipelines
• Strong eye for detail, composition, and value/color theory
• Excellent communication skills and must be able to thrive in a highly collaborative, team oriented environment
• Strong work ethic, and ability to maintain high quality and consistent progress without constant supervision

• 5+ years experience working in games
• Passion for games
• Shipped one or more AAA titles on multiple platforms
• Experience in photogrammetry

The estimated base pay range for this role is: $105,000 - $150,000 USD
